The Hall Difference
We believe that higher education can be done better. It can be more accessible, local, and affordable. It can be conceptual and practical, providing wisdom, not just information. It can be Christian and thoughtful. It can be for life and service. And all education is formative and, at its best, deeply relational service. And all education is formative and, at its best, deeply relational.

Our Vision
Students who want a quality, holistic Christian education must currently leave the Black Hills, which is not only an obstacle for students, but a major loss for the community.
We are intent on forming a robust learning Christian community where students gain quality education and training that builds their Christian worldview, shapes them holistically, and have access to real-world internships and employment opportunities. These well-trained students then live out their callings and become valuable contributors to the local community.
What is a tutorial?
A tutorial is a small group of students in pursuit of a wisdom and field competence under the guidance of an expert tutor. The tutor coaches the students to be independent learners by giving them essay questions, resources, and feedback on their work, so they than hone their skills.
The tutorial provides a versatile flexibility to teach many subjects. A tutorial involves deep, exploratory conversation. It is in this relational and instructional context that students also form their Christian worldview and character. As students take online courses, they come together weekly with their tutor to master the material and discuss its significance for their learning and life.
